Twitter’s owner, Elon Musk, has announced Linda Yaccarino as the new Chief Executive Officer of the platform. The American media executive of Italian descent was announced on May 12 by Musk as the new Chief twit.
1. Linda Yaccarino was born in 1963 and she’s 59 years old.
2. She is of Italian descent but grew up in Deer Park, New York, USA.
3. She has a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications from Pennsylvania State University’s Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications. She obtained this degree in 1985.
4. Linda Yaccarino worked for Turner Entertainment for 15 years. She was instrumental in developing innovative advertising and marketing solutions as the executive vice president and chief operating officer of ad sales.
5. In October 2011 Linda Yaccarino joined NBCUniversal. As the head of NBCUniversal’s advertising sales, she played a key role in the launch of Peacock streaming service.
6. In 2014 Yaccarino joined the Ad Council. She became chair of the Ad Council’s board of directors from January 2021 to June 30, 2022.
7. In 2018, President Donald Trump appointed her to Chair the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition.
8. In 2021 she partnered with the Biden administration to create a coronavirus vaccine campaign that featured Pope Francis. She also chaired the Future of Work task force for the World Economic Forum.
9. On May 12, 2023, Yaccarino resigned from NBCUniversal.
10. On May 12, 2023, Elon Musk announced that Yaccarino would be the new chief executive officer of X Corp. and Twitter.
11. Yaccarino is married to, Claude Madrazo and they have two children.
